THE GRASS DADDIES

  • From the Texas Panhandle (near Amarillo).
  • Formed in 2024 by Garre LaGrone (guitar/lead vocals), Glen Spiller (fiddle), Danny Jones (mandolin), Bill McKnight (Dobro™), Everett Poore (bass) and Mark Tracy (banjo).
  • 1990, lead singer LaGrone moved to Nashville to pursue a solo career as a singer/songwriter. His cousin Jake LaGrone was Lorrie Morgan’s tour manager at the time.
  • 1996, moved back to Texas to be close to his family. He also became a Christian and started writing gospel songs, with a single that did well on the Christian Country Charts. He also co-hosted a Christian music TV show and has done Prison Music Ministry for years throughout Texas.
  • 2025, released Missin’ that Drawl album (Prairie Grass).
