He has made a name himself primarily as a songwriter, penning #1 country hits for such artists as George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Joe Diffie and others.
  • 2007-2011, he was the lead singer for country group Shenandoah.
  • 2009, married Sonya Isaacs of the Isaacs.
  • 2021, began releasing bluegrass music (several singles) for RBR Entertainment.
