They call their music “latin-grass.” - Formed in 2013 by North Carolinian multi-instrumentalist Joe Troop who emigrated to Argentina in 2010. He taught bluegrass and old time music there and formed the band with Pau Barjau (banjo/from Mexico), Franco Martino (guitar/from Argentina), and Martin Bobrek (mandolin/from Argentina). Troop plays fiddle in the band.
- Troop is the principal songwriter. Many of their songs are “message songs” concerning immigration, inclusiveness, etc.
- 2019, released Rearrange My Heart album (Free Dirt), produced by Bela Fleck.
- 2023, Joe Troop formed a new latin-grass band with Larry Bellorin from Monagas, Venezuela called Larry and Joe.
- 2024, Larry and Joe released “Manos Panamericanos” album (no label).
